# Install BOS Lite in Codex

The Codex package is a small local plugin marketplace. Installation adds BOS Lite to Codex; it does not copy accounts, credentials, or connected data.

This ZIP is for Codex desktop or CLI. A tester working only in a managed ChatGPT Work workspace needs the sender's BOS plugin share/install link or a workspace administrator to make the plugin available for that tester's role.

## Windows

1. Extract the entire `BOS-Lite-Codex-0.2.2.zip` file.
2. Open the extracted `BOS-Lite-Codex-0.2.2` folder.
3. Double-click `INSTALL-BOS-LITE.cmd` and approve the normal local-plugin prompts.
4. Close the installer after it reports success.
5. Start a **new Codex task**.
6. Say: `Set up BOS around my existing Projects and connections.`

## macOS or Linux

1. Extract the entire package and open Terminal in the extracted folder.
2. Run `sh ./INSTALL-MAC-LINUX.sh`.
3. Start a **new Codex task**.
4. Say: `Set up BOS around my existing Projects and connections.`

## If automatic installation is unavailable

The extracted folder is the marketplace root. In Codex CLI, add that folder as a marketplace, then install `bos-lite@vasari-bos-pilot`. Start a new task afterward.

If the workspace does not allow custom plugins, ask its Codex or ChatGPT workspace administrator to enable the plugin for the tester's role. Connected apps remain governed by that workspace's normal app permissions.

## Confirm it loaded

Open Plugins in Codex and look for **BOS — Business Operating System**. The setup request should begin a short interview about the tester's existing native Projects and approved connections.
